Professional Window Cleaning Tips

Window cleaning will be made much easier for you with the 2 techniques below

1)The traditional window cleaners method:A Winwash(often called a T bar applicator) and squeegee. This technique will undoubtedly require a bit of practice but once you have got to grips with it you will find window cleaning very quick and relatively easy. You can get this equipment from all leading D.I.Y stores or the Internet(Google window cleaning suppliers)

Apply a detergent solution (washing up liquid and water) using the win wash to the window.

Remove all soap from the window using the squeegee. There are 2 ways to do this.

a)Starting at the top left corner of the window move the squeegee to the right working downwards in an S motion. This will need practice to get the feel for it.

b) If you find the S motion method a little difficult to master there is an easier way.Starting at the top of the window drag the squeegee down to the bottom of the window.Repeat, moving across the window untill the whole has been cleaned.

Wipe all edges with a microfiber cloth to remove all traces of soap/water residue

2)This second method can be used on all windows but is especially effective on Georgian windows which are too small to use a squeegee.

Use a microfibre cloth and any window cleaning product which can be sprayed.Creams are not to be used.Micro fibre cloths are incredibly absorbent and do not leave marks or fluff on the window making window cleaning with them relatively easy.Just about any window cleaning spray can be used when your using a microfibre cloth and you will still get smear freee windows.

The secret is to make sure your microfiber cloth is nice and clean and dry. Always have a few at hand and change frequently because if they become too impregnated with window cleaning solution smears become more likely.

Spray the window with your window cleaning product being careful not to use too much product. On a single pane one quick spray at the top, middle and bottom is sufficient. Do not overspray and wipe over the whole surface of the glass with your cloth. The result will be effortless smear free glass.

If you dont fancy this then i would suggest hiring a professional window cleaner.
