Getting Down And Dirty With Albuquerque Carpet Cleaning
There is a definite methodology to removing dirt from a carpet. However, trusting just any Albuquerque carpet cleaner to apply that methodology is a big mistake. It takes the successful completion of many different jobs under many different conditions to gain the experience to know how to apply the methodology.
Taking dirt from a carpet is not just the edited act of placing a mechanical device moving air over the carpet to lift the dirt. When a carpet is subject to heavy wear and is introduced to a wide range of grime and filth then there is a whole other level of cleaning that must be used.
There are several different things that must take place to make a successful carpet cleaning job. These apply to removing dirt that is not taken out by just merely sucking it from the carpet mechanically. This is the dirt that had for one or more reasons bonded to the carpet fibers. These factors that remove this bound dirt are heat, dwell, and the identification of the right chemical for the dirt to be removed.
The first consideration is to heat the water that is going to be mixed with chemical before it is applied to the carpet. There is such thing as water being to hot when it comes to mixing with caustic carpet cleaning chemicals. One does not want to mix chemical with water so hot that is causes the chemical to vaporize and become a health hazard. The hot water will aid in emulsifying dirt and aiding the chemical to work more readily.
Next is dwell time. Dwell time is the amount of time between when the heated water and chemical are applied and when the resulting emulsified solution of water, chemical and dirt is removed. The longer time that the heated water and chemical are allowed to be in contact with the dirty carpet. The more opportunity is given for the grime to release from the fine carpet fiber to allow for extraction.
The third factor to consider is the selection of the chemical to be used on the dirt. A good general purpose cleaner of just about any brand will work as a good surfactant. A heavier chemical solution may be required for heavily bound dirt. The ability to identify what specifically is the type of dirt of grime and how it is bound will aid in the selection of a specific chemical if a general purpose cleaner is not working.
These three factors put together will allow for a carpet to come completely grime free the majority of the time. It must be noted that a clean carpet is not always achieved on the initial application but may require additional applications to come clean.
